Chief Blue joined the Milledgeville Police Department in September of 2000 as Deputy
Chief of Police. Chief Blue assumed the role of Chief of Police for the department January 1, 2002.
As Chief, I join with the men and women of the Milledgeville Police Department in extending to you a warm welcome. I take great pride in the high-quality customer service we deliver to our 20,000 residents, our growing business community as well as the many visitors who enjoy all Milledgeville has to offer each year. Although, Milledgeville is considered by many to be a small city we are confronted with most of the policing issues that are present in any major city, along with the unique challenges of being near two colleges. As Chief my goal is to train and prepare for events that typically plague larger communities but still provide the personal service that is expected in a family oriented community. As our community continues to grow, we continue to focus on increased patrol efforts, effective proactive techniques, and networking with the community and other surrounding law enforcement agencies.
