Fire Department

E-mail Print PDF

We are fortunate to have some of the most talented individuals in the fire service working here. We value the history and tradition of the Milledgeville Fire Department, an organization built upon the foundation of our past, without the great men and women that came before us we could not tackle the challenges of the future.

The City of Milledgeville's Fire Department operates out of two fully manned fire stations which are strategically located within the City to minimize response times. With the City surrounded by water with Lake Sinclair to the North and the Oconee River which borders the city on the East, in addition to the numerous other lakes and rivers the department has participated in a number of water related rescue incidents over the years.

Five(5) fire trucks, three (3) pumper trucks, one (1) ladder trucks, one (1) rescue trucks, and two (2) search/rescue boats.
