Streetscape Work in the Downtown area Some sidewalks and parking areas will be closed starting June 7, 2010 on Wayne Street. Construction began at the corner of South Wayne and Greene Streets (by Century Bank) and is moving North towards Hancock Street. Each block should take 20 to 30 days. Please address any questions to Mark Patrick at 478-414-4422.The demolition work on the west side of South Wayne Street will be completed by the end of June 17, 2010. At that point the contractors will cross Hancock Street and continue demolition work on the west side of North Wayne Street. While the demolition work proceeds on The west side of North Wayne Street the water line will be installed on the west side of South Wayne Street. This will keep work progressing while the water line is installed on the west side of South Wayne Street. In conjunction with the water line installation the electric conduit is being installed on the Westside of South Wayne Street. All the cellar vents will be updated with new cellar vents. The existing cellar access doors will remain as is. Rate Changes July 1, 2010
